Hydrogen Peroxide is one of the strongest oxidizing agents.  In water solution it is a weak acid.  It is a fairly stable compound.
 
 
 

Hydrogen Peroxide is found in Mentadent toothpaste.  It is used in combination with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to help whiten teeth.  Hydrogen Peroxide has many houseshold uses.  You can use it as a mouthwash and to use in combination with cleaning.  Hydrogen peroxide is also a detergent.
