Structure
Selsun Blue is a shampoo mainly used to treat dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. Dandruff is a chronic non-inflammatory scalp condition that is characterized by excessive scaling. The top layer of the scalp is constantly being renewed and the increase in this renewal and flaking is dandruff. The active ingredient in Selsun, Selenium Sulfide, has an anti-fungal action to control Pityrosporum Ovale(a yeast like fungus found in the hair follicle). This clinically proven anti-dandruff ingredient helps control dandruff and the resulting flaking and itching.
