Molecular formula of Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate: K4P2O7
Armor All(R)
,
which is the product name for a family of car cleaners, was created, in
1962, by a young polymer chemist as a protectant for rubber, plastic and
vinyl surfaces from UV radiation and ozone. Armor All(R)
was given its name in 1972. The multi-purpose auto cleaner is used
for cleaning all auto surfaces. It removes grease, dirt, tar, and
other automotive soils, but is safe enough for fabric, vinyl, and carpet.
Tetrapotassium
pyrophosphate (tetrapotassium phosphorate) is an active ingredient in Armor
All(R) Multi-purpose
Auto Cleaner. Tetrapotassium pyrophosphate (K4P2O7)
appears as colorless or white crystals or powder. Its molecular weight
is 330.35g/mol. Tetrapotassium pyrophosphate is an emulsifier or texturizer,
and is soluble in water. Tetrapotassium pyrophosphate is used in
both food and in cleaners and detergents.
