

Benzethonium
Choride is the active ingredient found in Emprizone and many other topical
antiseptic gels. Emprizone contains only about 0.1% benzothonium chloride.
Emprizone is used to protects minor cuts, burns and scrapes from becoming
infected. Emprizone also claims to promote healing time.

Benzethonium chloride is a white crystalline powder derived from ammonium chloride. It is extremely water soluble and has a melting point of about 165 C.
