Dextromethorphan is an antitussive.  It is used to relieve a nonproductive cough caused by a cold, the flue, or other conditions.  Dextromethorphan comes as a liquid or as a lozenge that is taken by mouth.Dextromethorphan is in products such as Robitussin, Sucrets Cough Control, HOld DM, St. Joseph Cough Suppressants, and Trocal.
