Isopropyl Alcohol

Isopropyl alcohol or isopropanol is a common name for 2-propanol, an alcohol commonly used for application to the skin, and popularly referred to as rubbing alcohol. The alcohol-based sterilizing swabs used to clean skin before injections contain a 30% solution of isopropanol in water.  It is applied prior to injection to cleanse any unwanted bacteria or other harmful things.
Isopropyl alcohol is also commonly used as a cleaner and solvent in industry.

Isopropyl Alcohol is a great substance used to fight against infections.  It cleans the surface of whatever, may it be your skin or a window.  If something is sterile you are alot less likely to get an infection.  If you are going to put a sticker or something adhesive to anything its a good idea to get the surface as clean as possible.  Isopropyl Alcohol is one of the best solvents around for something like that.
