Clean & Clear Acne Treatment
Benzoyl Peroxide

What is Benzoyl Peroxide?
Benzoyl Peroxide is one of the most commonly used in acne treaments that can be purchased over-the-counter.  It is safe for both children and adults, and can be combined with other topical treatments or oral treatments.

How does it work?
Benzoyl Peroxide is absorbed in the skin where it is metabolized to benzoic acid and then it is excreted as benzoatein the urine.  It works by destroying P.acnes(the bacteria athat causes acne).  It acts not only as an oxidizing agent but also as an antispetic.  It reduces the number of blocked pores.  Improvements may be seen in 2-3 weeks.
