Dideycl dimethyl ammonium chloride is a primary active ingredient in lysol cleaning products especially floor cleaners. The compound is used to fight bacteria that cause viruses and salmonella and acts as a mild deodorizer. Also the compound can be used in higher concentrations for hospital use to defend against staph and HIV virus.
