The ACS-Student Affiliate chapter at Arkansas
State University meets on average bi-monthly during the academic year.
In addition, chapter officers have a weekly planning meeting with the faculty
advisor. Chapter activities include hosting invited seminar speakers, sponsoring
an annual Halloween ChemMagic show, attending and presenting undergraduate
research at local and national meetings, community service activities,
publishing a chapter newsletter, sponsoring a fall and spring picnic for
alumni, faculty and students, producing and selling a unique chapter T-shirt
every year, and hosting social activities such as ballroom and country
line dancing. In addition, we participate in National Chemistry Week each
year by completing a special project. Some of our activities are illustrated
