Recycling can also help reduce the amount of hazardous materials.  You can help by recycling your spent rechargeable batteries.  See the RBRC website below for more information.

Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation
The Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC) can help you recycle your portable rechargeable batteries. These batteries are commonly found in cordless power tools, cellular and cordless phones, laptop computers, camcorders, digital cameras, and remote control toys. RBRC recycles the following battery chemistries: Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion) and Small Sealed Lead* (Pb).

Please help the environment and recycle your dead rechargeable batteries.  In Jonesboro, many local businesses are involved in the recycling program.  Go to the RBRC website (http://www.rbrc.org/index.html)  to find a collection center near you.
